Purpose of the role:
Data visualisation and analytics has been critical to the growth of MPB, as it continues to strive to provide a best in class experience for customers. The importance of being able to uncover and react to data led insights is recognised as a critical element for growth and continued success.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for data and the desire to utilise and develop their existing skills and experience. Confident in collaborating with departments across the business, proactively identifying opportunities.
You will be responsible for surfacing Financial and Operational data and insight through the build and maintenance of interactive Tableau dashboards. Committed to transforming data into actionable insights, supporting business initiatives to drive performance optimisation and MPB’s growth. Working alongside others in the Data and Analytics team and contributing to a culture of excellence in data management, visualisation and playout.

Key responsibilities:
Own the design and build of new, regular and ad-hoc Tableau dashboards, predominantly across Finance and Operations
Proactively engage with leadership and stakeholders to gather requirements, align solutions, provide status updates and communicate insight and recommendations
Data discovery and transformations of large datasets. Supporting long term consistency, data centralisation and governance
Surface KPIs, data led solutions and identify areas of opportunity / actionable insight
Work closely with the Data Engineers and the rest of the D&A team, a key contributor to the on-going development of the analytics function and strategy, with a focus on best practice
Active participant in the Data Centre of Excellence
Person Specification:
An analytical mind with good problem solving skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to prepare, transform, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of data and information
Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to identify and direct a clear direction
Autonomy in making informed decisions whilst proactively keeping others informed
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at presenting findings to a variety of stakeholders
Proactive and inquisitive with a desire to learn
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years' experience in an MI/BI/Analytics role
Experience within a commercial setting with a good understanding of financial systems and management accounting
Experience with Tableau or similar data visualisation/reporting tool
Experience programming in SQL, BigQuery and R/Python
