As an experienced Pricing Analyst, you will work within our UK based team, and will report directly to the Head of Pricing as part of the Revenue function at MPB. You will be instrumental in driving profitability and providing detailed analysis with a strong commercial understanding. By leveraging your analytical prowess and deep understanding of the market, you will optimise pricing strategies for more than ten thousand used cameras, lenses and accessories.
You will be responsible for detailed analysis of supply and demand data points, working within our BI system to derive the correct pricing across a wide range of used photo and video products. As a strong people leader, you will oversee a direct report to support pricing strategy implementation. It will be essential with our ‘People-First’ approach that you are committed to developing and supporting those around you. Prior experience within a pricing/revenue management role or within the photo/video equipment category would be highly preferred.
- 2-3 Years previous experience within a pricing/revenue focussed role or within business analytics.
- Analytical, strategic and data-driven mindset
- Proven excellence in Excel
- High degree of numeracy with good statistical skills to analyse trends and understand modelling techniques
- A good understanding of supply and demand dynamics.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft BI)
- Robust organisational, communication and time management skills
- In depth understanding of dynamic pricing
- Management / training experience
- Has a strong understanding of the photographic retail space
- Understands principles of price elasticity
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, accounting, finance or related field
- Previous experience within an e-commerce or marketplace business is preferred but not essential

Ideal candidates will be confident in collaborating with departments across the business and proactively identifying pricing opportunities by analysing data. You will also be committed to the development of your report and those around you.

- Supports in developing and implementing pricing strategies aligned with business goals and objectives, based on supply and demand analysis and pricing elasticities.
- Interpret complex data sets and extract meaningful insights using Excel and Tableau
- Deliver data-driven pricing recommendations based on internal and external factors, considering multiple price zones.
- Track the effectiveness of pricing decisions by evaluating key performance indicators across a large data set.
- Respond to competitor analysis
- Deliver against quarterly targets for margin and inventory turnover.
- Effectively delegate tasks within the team to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Keeping up to date on industry-wide, international data trends and having a clear vision of how the impact of changes contributes to business success
- Confident challenging decisions to ensure customer and business needs are met.
- Proactively identifies and resolves potential problems including weekly performance updates.
- Can react strategically to macro-level trends and translate this data to set strategy and provide guidance to others.
- Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
