Dispatch Team Leader
Purpose of the role:
A Team Leader's role is crucial for team efficiency, focusing on achieving daily targets through tasks like performance tracking, attendance monitoring, and KPI reporting. They set a high standard by motivating the team through a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a positive attitude. Additionally, Team Leaders manage various other responsibilities, including ensuring quality control, safety compliance, process documentation, training and fostering collaboration while offering guidance andsupport to help the team thrive.
Key responsibilities:
● Taking ownership of all Slack channels to minimise distractions and maintain team productivity.
● Providing support to team members to help them achieve targets and improve performance.
● Actively collaborating with other teams to ensure a seamless workflow and coordinated effort.
● Raising tickets to Devs on behalf of the team.
● Acting as the primary point of contact for communication with other departments and
stakeholders, delegating tasks when needed.
● Conducting interviews once candidates are screened.
● Overseeing the team's holidays to ensure adequate staff levels.
● Monitoring team members' attendance and addressing absence and lateness issues during return-to-work meetings.
● Providing guidance and support to team members on attendance policies and collaborating with the People's Team to implement strategies for attendance improvement.
● Continuously evaluating team members' tools and knowledge, providing support, and addressing any questions or requests as needed.
● Delivering and communicating Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) to associates in need of support. Responsible for creating, delivering, monitoring, and concluding PIPs to help team members improve their performance.
● Ensuring the responsible handling of third-party batteries in the team's area and ensuring that batteries are not left charging by the end of the day for safety purposes.
Daily Reports and Recurring Meetings:
● Completing the OPS KPI sheet by 10 a.m. the following day.
● Reporting daily numbers on the performance chat.
● Monitoring and ensuring correct updates of the team's sheets and folders.
● Holding monthly 1:1s with team members.
● Reporting team absence in the sickness-absence channel and updating the tracker accordingly.
● Having weekly check-ins with the Ops Manager to discuss the team's KPIs and current issues, maintaining the Monday Board ahead of meetings.
● Reporting OT volunteers to the Ops Manager and adding names to the OT sheet.
● Communicating with PBP regarding absences and supporting meetings.
● Conducting the yearly performance review of the team, followed by 1:1s.
Recurring tasks:
● Overseeing daily team output in picking and packing.
● Monitoring couriers' pickups in line with agreed collection times.
● Responsible for the stockroom organisation and tidiness.
● Responsible for ensuring putaway is done according to established stockroom organisation rules.
● Solving unpickable items directly with CE and the Inventory team.
● Solving allocated-stock issues and triage issues within a day.
● Boxes Inventory and Marketing Brochure Inventory - ownership, with support from the Warehouse Manager.
● Taking care of the shipment of missed/faulty items requested by CE
● Conduct end-of-week TX clean-up to ensure duplicates, bugs and pending TXs are processed and removed from the system.
● Facilitating cross-team communication via Slack when transactions are not in the correct state.
● Restocking workstations and supplies.
● Ensuring that all workspaces are tidy and organised - including the stockroom.
On-Demand:
● Managing any courier paperwork needed.
● Stepping down to the associate level if backlogs are growing or most of the team is absent, either by receiving or unboxing as needed.

environments.
● Experience in mentoring and coaching team members to help them reach their potential.

● Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, demonstrating the ability to manage and lead a team.

● Proficiency in time management to ensure efficient workflow and meet deadlines.
● Familiarity with relevant tools and software for tracking team performance and reporting.
