Digital PR Manager
🚀 Digital PR Manager 🚀
📍 Location: Brighton
đź’– Department: Marketing
đź“… Position type: Full-time, hybrid
The role
We’re looking for a Digital PR Manager to help us level up our link-building strategy—making it more authentic, effective, and creative. Reporting to the Head of Organic Growth, you’ll play a key role in driving MPB’s organic rankings, traffic, and revenue by building high-quality links that truly matter.
In this role, you’ll work across both the UK and US markets, using data insights and compelling narratives to craft stories journalists actually want to cover. From newsjacking opportunities to data-led campaigns, they have the freedom to experiment, the support to execute and will build-out and maintain the impact metrics to prove what works.
What you will be doing
- Own the DigitalPR content creation process: Ideate campaigns that reflect MPB’s brand voice whilst being newsworthy, brief and review supporting assets for campaigns and write pitch emails that get responses
- Create stories that get noticed: by running Digital PR campaigns across the US and UK, including reactive newsjacking, data-led studies, product PR, and expert commentary. Use company data, industry trends, and customer insights to craft stories journalists want to cover. Reclaim unlinked brand mentions, target high-value contextual link opportunities, and pitch to journalists across photography, tech, sustainability, and business sectors while building strong media relationships.
- Work cross-team: to identify impactful link-building opportunities and target publications that drive results. Partner with US and EU market teams to adapt campaigns effectively for each region. Share insights from media conversations to help shape broader marketing messaging and support future campaign launches.
- Build and manage media relationships: with key journalists and influencers, maintaining a media database and staying alert to coverage opportunities. Respond quickly to media requests and position MPB spokespeople for expert commentary.
- Measure what matters: by tracking campaign performance—coverage, links, traffic, and brand mentions—and reporting impact to the wider marketing team. Stay up to date with Digital PR and SEO trends to keep our strategy sharp and effective.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in Digital PR, ideally at an agency or in-house for a consumer brand.
- Strong data-storytelling skills: finding insights in messy datasets, writing methodology, and briefing visual assets.
- Experience in both US & UK markets as well as excellent written communication and pitching in UK/US English; crisp, targeted outreach with appropriate follow-ups.
- A good working understanding of SEO fundamentals; understanding what makes a link more or less valuable
- Demonstrable project management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across marketing and category functions
- A creative mindset, able to draft a calendar of news-worthy, innovative and on-brand concepts that’ll catch journalists’ attention.
- Ethical, earned‑only approach aligned with MPB brand safety and data accuracy standards
